A Collective Make-up and Skincare Haul

I have been trying to reduce my non-essential spending significantly of late. I've even set myself two lots monthly goals relating to a spending ban, so the past couple of months have been pretty boring on the make-up front. Although, since it seems that we are both here on an haul post, clearly I have failed..

Twice.

A high-end and drugstore collective haul

I ended up caving (much quicker than I would like to admit) and placed an Adorebeauty* order which was sparked by a combination of my want need to try the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder*, which featured on my recent "Products I Want to Try" list, and my lack of self discipline. I've only used it on one occasion so far (because I am that girl) but I am so excited to play around with it more. I decided that I "needed" to try the Real Techniques Setting Brush* too. I originally thought that it would be great for under eye powdering but looking at it in person, I think that it would be great for applying highlighter too! I also purchased a tube of L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Glow Foundation* in the shade Nude Beige. I had been umm-ing and ahh-ing over it for such a long time now but I thought it worth a try after all of the (mostly) good reviews that I've read. It is a drugstore foundation after all and I'm all about a good drugstore product.

I convinced myself that since I'd already broken my ban, I may as well repurchase a few staples that I was running low on while I was at it. Another bottle of Trilogy's Advanced Formula Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+*, which I cannot live without, yet another pot of Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream* - the ONLY eye cream that I'll ever use (it's amazing) and two bottles of The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5*, my plumping, hydrating savour which always seems to be out of stock so I purchased a back-up too. I also picked up my millionth tube of Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer* in the shade Fair and the Instant Age Rewind Concealer* in the shade Light.
Because I have no self control, I then decided that while I was on a roll, that I would also place a small Priceline order. Insert all of the facepalms here.
In my defence! The drugstore has really upped its game lately, okay!
I re-purchased a couple of essentials and picked up some new additions to try too.
I've been wanting to try Maybelline's Fit Me Powder for a while now so I picked up the shade Nude Beige. I noticed that it had some glitter through it when I swatched it, which I'm not typically a fan of so it will be interesting to see how I feel about it when I apply it to my face. I also picked up Maybelline's Brow Precise Perfecting Highlighter in the shade Medium on a whim because I thought it would make my morning routine a little easier. It's like a stick concealer, but the angle of the tip looks as though it would make cleaning up and sharpening around the brows super easy.

I also repurchased two (there was a 30% off your second pot, don't judge me) of my forever favourite Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, which works so well on my perpetually dry skin, and a compact of Model's Own Sculpt and Glow Highlighter Powder in Golden Sand. I've been wanting to delve more into drugstore highlighters (Maybelline Master Chrome*, you're next) so I thought this was a good place to start. Despite the name, I was surprised to see that this was more of a pink toned highlighter when I swatched it, which is not a tone that I necessarily enjoy on myself but I'm excited to see how it looks on the face.

See what drugstore and high-end beauty bits I've hauled recently

All in all, I ended up spending far too much money on things that I didn't need but at the end of the day, these things have bought me happiness and that's all that matters, right??
Sure. I'm going to go with sure.
