Blogger Appreciation: Beauty.

I have been blogging for just over a year now (oh my!), and lately I feel my
little old blog has really blossomed.
I love stumbling upon new blogs, and it has been an absolute pleasure hearing from my new readers', and reading up on all your posts on beauty, fashion, recipes and just random life shenanigans.

This handful of beauty bloggers, however, have really stood out beyond the rest for me lately. I've found myself browsing their blogs daily over the past few months and have thoroughly enjoyed reading reviews and tutorials, and taking inspiration from their latest make-up and beauty posts.

5. Em from EmTalks
She blogs about anything and everything from daily life and travel to outfits and make-up. Let me just start by saying, homegurl is in shape. Goddamn.
I love reading her healthy eating and exercise routine posts. She's actually inspired a few of my at-home workouts. I will have dat tummy!
I always look forward to her monthly favourites and love noseying around what's in her make-up bag like the creeper I am.

4. Hope from Beauty & Bliss

I could honestly watch her videos all day, and not just because I'm a sucker for a Kentucky accent and a cute smile.
- Bonus points to Christie for recognising a Kentucky accent.
- Minus abovementioned bonus points and an extra 50 if said accent is not derived from Kentucky. #Awks.
Apart from the fact that this girl, clearly, is stunning, with crazy highlight game (I can't even), she writes a mean review; you know, the genuine type. The actual honest opinion. None of this "This is my honest opinion. I loved everything so much because I'm getting paid ermahgerrd send me stuff" bullshit. If she doesn't like something, she will say so and why, which is what I like to see in a well-rounded review.

3. Ash from A Beauty Moment
I love reading Ash's blog and watching her videos, despite the fact I can't help but feel insanely a teensy bit jealous about the ridiculous amount of make-up and tools always just chillin' in the background of everything she uploads.
Not only is A Beauty Moment full of great product reviews and wonderful make-up tutorial videos (thank you for helping me perfect my smokey eye technique!), it also has a deeper side with her Sunday Sitdown posts which I constantly find myself reading (and thoroughly enjoying).
The fact that she's hosting a giveaway every other day like the generous citizen she is, is just a (freakin' sweet) bonus and I've discovered so many great palettes just by watching her videos.

2. Kallie from But First, Coffee

I love, love, LOVE Kallie's easy, yet pretty hair and make-up video tutorials. She's inspired a great part of my everyday hairstyle make-up routine.
Her 60 second review videos are everything I want in a review, quick and to the point.

[Again with the video love.
Perhaps I'll make my own one day. This sexy Aussie accent deserves to be heard!]

I digress.

No time to watch a video? No worries, mate. Everything said in her videos is outlined in word right underneath, so even if I decide I need a quick blog break at work, I can still get the full review without being caught for "time wasting", and nip off on my lunch break and buy all teh thingzzzzz.
I've actually bought soo many great drugstore products I never even would have considered had I not watched Kallie's 'Battle of The..' videos, and majority have since become favourites and staples in my daily routine.
 1. Cara from Maskcara
Maskcara was the very first beauty blog I followed back in my newbie blogger days.
Chances are you've already pinned a bunch of her posts in your hair & beauty board on Pinterest. That's actually how I stumbled upon this holy grail of a beauty blog, and she is damn good at what she does. Her tutorials are so easy to follow (even for someone as useless as I). I actually have Cara to thank for my "strong contour game".
Whether it be step by step pictures and instructions, or a quick  video, I've not once been left thinking:
"How the hell does she look like that
 and I look like this?!"

Which honestly has happened too many times for my liking.

Bonus Blog Anna from Anna Blush

Let me just jump back on my kangaroo for this one.
You didn't think I'd leave out an fellow thunderer down under did you? A fellow Perth girl to. It's refreshing to read review and haul posts about brands that can easily be found at my local, and products and formulas that are suited to the same season I'm currently in.
Her blog has helped me out time and time again when I'm deciding between two brands. Powders, blushes, lipsticks, foundations, chances are Anna's reviewed a plethora of brands of exactly the product you were looking for all in one handy post. I can easily compare and make a decision based on what aspects appeal to me.
Every now and then, she'll throw a healthy eating post in to the mix. I can't tell you how good it is to read a recipe with ingredients I can readily use, and measurements I don't have to try and convert to good old metric (because Christie's terrible at maths #FunFact).

These have been my go-to blogs of late for style and fashion inspiration.
Not only are these ladies gorgeous, but they really know their stuff so do yourselves a favour and check these blogs out. Seriously.

  1. Bonus points, because my accent is a strong southern one from Kentucky haha! Thanks so much for giving me a shout out in your post. Also, I really appreciate the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoy my videos and blog. I didn't have you on Bloglovin' or anything, so I'm going to add you now! I can't wait to see more from you! :)

    1. Ka-ching! That's a relief, I was really worried about that one haha. I had a friend in high school who transferred from Kentucky. She always got so mad when us ignorant Aussies described her accent as just being Southern; gotta be specific. ;) So I kind of picked up on yours. 50 points to Gryffindor!

You're more than welcome, hun. I love to appreciate and share a good blog when I come across one. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Keep up it up, girl. I can't wait to read more. xx
