September Look Back and October Goals.

A look back at September's goals:

Goal: Make business cards
"I recently attended a Blogger's United meet (read) and I think I was about the only person there without blogger business cards. Whoops. Not that anyone minded, but I think it's about time I got some."
Cross - I got lazy. I actually went to Vistaprint online... aaaannnnddd closed the tab after half a minute. Whoops

Plan birthday

"MY BIRTHDAY IS A MONTH AWAY (!!!) and I have zero idea what I'm going to do to celebrate, which makes me uncomfortable because I usually have this shit down come June. I'd definitely like to do something with all of my friends, the question is.. what?"
Tick - Yasssss!

Find a car
"You may have read a while back about my accident. Insert knife emoticon here. It's about time I got my own vehicle again though she'll never compare to my baby."
Tick - Despite my now low-as-shit bank balance, I'm happy with my purchase.

Go to a dermatologist
"The itchiness of my legs that I always seem to post about when I review moisturisers is getting worse and I'm scratching myself to the point of bleeding all over my sheets at night. Perhaps I have a mild case of eczema? I've been meaning to see someone for a while now so I guess now's a good a time as ever."
Cross - This one way on my mind all month, but I never got around to it. I really must go, though. This shit's getting worse.

Lose 4kg
I've been so proud of my 3kg loss last week that I've decided to push myself to lose that bit extra. I know I've put on some over the course of my holiday, so I'll have to work that bit harder this month.
Tick (!!!) - I honestly am surprised that I managed to lose (exactly) four kilos this month, seeming as my usual weight loss is 1-2kg. I downloaded My Fitness Pal, (it's free!) and it's made the world of difference. By inputting my food and watching my calorie intake (because I suck at eating healthy on my own), I've doubled my weight loss. This isn't even a sponsored post, just download the damn app - my God.

October's Goals

Build my bank balance back up

After buying abovementioned car, my bank is left looking a bit sad. For that reason, I'm putting a spending ban on myself until it looks a little healthier. I'm only spending money on the essentials this whole month, maybe longer. Wish me luck.

Drink more green tea
I've never been overly in to green tea, but I'm aiming to drink 2-3 cups a day throughout October.

Become active in blogger Facebook groups
I've only JUST begun joining blogger groups on Facebook *is late to the party* and they seem like such great communities. I aim to post at least one a week/fortnight in each.

Lose another 2kg
I'm dropping the weight-loss target this month so I don't go overboard (as I always do). Plus, it's my freaking birthday month (!!!) so, there'll be a few million extra calories consumed over that weekend. Not even sorry.

Try a healthy Spring recipe from Pinterest
What even was life before Pinterest? I love all the fresh produce available throughout the Spring months - it makes being healthy so much easier. Bonus points if I end up posting a recipe to the ol' blogaroo.

  3. Love all your October goals, I should probably write a list myself because I keep remembering to get business cards printed and then I forget.

  4. I think I need to list down my goals and pin it up across my bed so I'd be reminded every time I wake up. LOL

You're not the only one who's "late to the party". LOL I just became active last month. I was in hiatus for 2 years. XD Mine is tech blog though, but I'm still thinking whether or not to merge my personal and tech blog.

Anyway, good job on losing 4kg weight! Reading your post made me decide to push through on getting abs lol. I better finish commenting on everyone's blog and start on it. XD

  6. I am attending a blogger get together tonight and I saw the invite says "bring your business cards" and I'm like hmm... I don't have any! I've only been blogging for a little over a month though so I don't feel too bad :)

  11. It's definitely something you should consider doing (especially if you're lazy/forgetful like yours truly). Posting a handful of goals each month is literally the only way I can motivate myself to get shit done aha. x

  12. That's definitely an idea haha! Writing up a list of things I need to do seems to be the only way I get things done.

Thank you so much! I'm actually rather proud of myself. :3 Still reaching for those abs - the struggle is real. x

  13. I feel you, girl! Doctors (including dermatologists) make me so nervous - I just hate going. But you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. :|

I love your blog, by the way - just given you a follow. :) x

  14. Haha man. I felt insanely conscious of the fact that I didn't have any business cards when I first arrived at the event I attended, but I only saw one, maybe two people handing cards out so I felt better about myself after a while aha. We'll get around to it.. eventually. :P x

  16. Haha yay thank you! *throws confetti*

I love the groups I'm a part of already! Such lovely people and so much support - I don't know why I didn't join years ago! x

  17. Ugh. The healthy eating thing after years of being able to eat whatever I wanted is what's been the hardest for me - I just LOVE FOOD! :o Once you get the hang of it (and the junk food cravings subside) it's easy enough. Just have to push through the first month or so, you can do it! :) x

  18. Wasn't a good time for Christie, no. :( BUT it all seemed to work out in the end.

    Thank you haha. :D x

  19. I love all of your goals! These are one of my favorite types of posts and I think they are awesome because it kind of holds you accountable!

  20. It really does! It's nobody's fault but your own if you don't achieve anything you set out to do. Listing my monthly goals out publically is really the only way I can get myself to do anything aha. x
