One: Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow in "The Glo Down"
This is an eyeshadow, but have you seen that metallic pigmentation of this particular shade?! I use it as a highlighter and I feel that it performs better than many actual highlighters. It gives off the most amazing, golden hued glow (perfect for Summer) which doesn't take very much at all to build up to the most blinding thing that I've ever seen. I do still use it on my lids on occasion (it's beautiful on the inner corners), and it's lovely, but I honestly cannot get past this glow on my cheekbones. The powder itself feels so silky and buttery and just glides on to the skin. Considering this can be bought at Target, it's definitely a winner for me.
Two: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in "Ecru"
I recently published a review of this foundation, so I won't go on for years repeating myself, but I'm sososo in love with it! Despite being matte, it doesn't look flaky or further dry out my dry skin and leaves me with a beautiful, flawless face. It has a light, silky texture which is rare of a medium-full coverage foundation and yet, it still manages to last all day without the need of any touch-ups. Definitely do read through my full review linked above for a more in-depth description if you're considering buying it. It's worth the spend in my opinion, for sure.
I've been trying out various drugstore eye creams but I've found nothing that matches this in terms of moisturizing my dry lids, which get flaky if they are not moisturised liberally enough (gross), which is my main concern at the ripe old age of 23. I have noticed that with daily use, the few small fine lines that I do have underneath my eyes are visibly reduced, which is not something that I've noticed with any other eye creams I've tried. It is quite a big spend for such a small pot, but as eyes are so delicate and show the first signs of ageing (get on the eye cream early - trust me), to me, it's worth the spend. Plus, as the name suggests, it's a damn strong formula, so a little goes a long way. Value for money, anyone?
Four: Benefit KA-BROW! in "Medium 3"
I've had this for a while now, but in between Rimmel's Brow This Way Kit - my drugstore brow product of choice for the work days, and Anastasia Beverly Hills's Dipbrow on weekends, I've only really just started using this. I can't believe it took me so long because I actually prefer it to Dipbrow these days. I found that KA-BROW has a more solid formula to Dipbrow which actually means that it lasts longer, does not smudge at all and gives a more defined line than a creamier formula does. It's waterproof, too, which makes it perfect for my after work gym sessions or if you have oilier skin. You honestly really only need a little bit of product to do the whole brow and I love the hidden brush, too.
Five: NARS Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in "Laguna"
Whatever "sheer matte" is, I like it! This bronzer is purposely sheer (but definitely buildable if desired) which is why I've been using it quite often over the colder months for a more Winter appropriate glow. It also makes it perfect for those who, like me, prefer a more minimalistic approach to bronzer in general. The colour is almost identical to the original Laguna, minus the shimmer. It's completely matte but somehow still manages to reflect light for a beautifully diffused, soft-focus effect, eliminating the possibility of looking flat, which is often a concern with matte products. The powder itself feels firmer in the pan than I'm used to, but still has a smooth and creamy texture. It's basically foolproof - blending is a breeze, it's impossible to over-do and the colour is gorgeously non-muddy. It honestly is the most natural-looking bronzer that I’ve seen.
