Winter Inspiration Board

At the start of every new season, I like to create a sort of mood board and, to me, the Winter instalment is always the most important. I'm a Summer girl through and through and the transition from warm, sunny days to the miserable and bleary always leaves me feeling melancholy. A mood board really helps me to realise that there still is inspiring things to behold during the Winter months.

A Mini Sephora (Australia) Sale Haul

I'm almost embarrassed to post yet another haul. Almost.
See, Sephora had their famous VIB sale a few weeks back and I was more than happy to partake.

The only thing about that is is: well, do you remember when I said that I was on a spending ban?
Yeah, that's not going too well, but hear me out!
1) There was a sale. 2) Items that were previously unavailable to me were suddenly available.
3) I controlled myself and only picked up a small handful of products.

I think I did pretty well for myself here, even if Jesse disagrees wholeheartedly.

I repurchased my beloved Dipbrow, in the shade Blonde this time. My first pot (this stuff lasts forever - I've only just reached the bottom of my first ever pot) was in the shade "Taupe", which I feel was a hair (get it?!) too dark for me. I am obsessed with this formula - definitely a holy grail product for me.

 Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask
A long awaited repurchase. Bite's lip treatment is an old favourite of mine that I haven't been able to use in quite some time as it is always sold out online (which is my only means of shopping at Sephora until they build one here in Perth). It is the only thing that improves the condition of my dry, often flaky lips overnight. I jumped at the chance to pick one up again.

 FRESH Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream
You may have seen this featured in my "Products I Want to Try in 2018" post. Well ka-ching, ka-ching guess what became available in Australia - I get to try it without paying a million dollars in shipping fees after all. I've been using this moisturizer for a little over a week now and I must say: I absolutely love it so far!

 Pixi Glow Tonic
I discovered that my go-to toner is no longer going to be available to me (waah!) so I finally caved and picked up a bottle of the perpetually talked about Glow Tonic and guys.. the hype: I get it. I've been using it daily and although it's only been a short amount of time, I'm in love with what it does to my skin.

I can foresee a couple of these babies being featured in upcoming monthly favourites posts, so stay tuned for my thoughts after continued use and more in-depth reviews. ;)

24 of my Favourite Instagram Accounts Right Now

To me, there is no better way to get inspired than to scroll through Instagram (shameless "here is my profile" plug). I spend countless hours on the app each day and I've discovered a tonne of beautiful feeds along the way, which I am excited to share with you today.

 The fact that I follow so many inspiring men and women made compiling this list quite the difficult task. I had to be somewhat ruthless in my selection as to not get carried away with the length of this post (it's still much longer than I had planned). There are so many more gorgeous accounts that I would have loved to have also included.

 What can I say? We love to love here at Christie's Take on Life.

How cute is Polina's feed?! She's always posting gorgeous, flowery-encrusted photos or a shot of a sweet treat. Her whole feed is so vibrant and girly! It's beautiful.

Good morning everyone! 💕 When your kids ask for "mommy's fruit platter", I had to deliver! Whenever I am fortunate to snag a pink pitaya, I feel like doing it justice by displaying its beauty appropriately! What would you eat first? The middle was happily devoured here 🙈. I got to use a new canon this weekend for this shot rather than my Nikon (it's an older 10 + years model). Can you notice any difference in this photo and all the others on my feed? 🤔 . . .
