If you've been following the goings on of Christie's Take on Life (or read my previous bloopers post), you'd know that I was asked to dress up and pretend to be cool last month (see here, here, here, and here).
Being the incredibly unphotogenic, ungraceful person I am, the 399 shots we took over the course of the day, got whittled down to a measly 5 decent looking photos per post. Yup, only 20 of the 399 photos we took were usable. So I'll just go ahead and apologise now for shattering the stylish and elegant illusion that I have been portraying over all these years.. And by that, I mean y'all know I wasn't stylish nor elegant and have been patiently waiting to see my horrendous photo fails even since seeing an outfit post appear on the ol' blogaroo.

Anyways, here are my lovely photographic fails from my Lace on the Beach post. Scroll at your own risk.
Of course, we chose to shoot on the beach on the day when it was about minus ninety-zillion degrees.
I am incapable of walking gracefully (or at all) on sand. Lesson learnt.
..I won't even caption this one. There are no words.
Or this one for that matter.
I feel that now is the appropriate time to mention that I have a terrible phobia of open water, as clearly demonstrated in the GIF below.
I don't hate a lot of things in this world, but I have to say that wind is pretty high on that list.
Very high on that list.
aannnddd then, it was beyond a joke.
So very beyond a joke.
The ol' top adjustment shot.
Derp.
I distinctly remember being nervous about turning my back to the water. Old mate Jesse was probably saying something in the background to calm my ass down, like when a photographer holds a squeaky toy over the camera to get babies to smile.
Again, graceful.
"Fucking rock" *insert displeased emoji here*.
Squeak squeak.
I was so brave in coming up to the water's edge..
..and then a huge-ass wave crashes at my feet. Despite the smile, this is a face or terror. TERRORRRR!

This just made me LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAwww! You still look awesome though! <3
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I do like the outfit though!! :)
ReplyDeleteAhaha I soooo feel you on the wind! I live in south dakota and for some reason the wind is always awful here...Idk if its the lack of trees and hills or what.

Haha I'm glad. x
ReplyDeleteAw thank you! <3 x
ReplyDeleteHehe thank you. (: x
ReplyDeleteAhaha I just can't. I usually find the wind refreshing, but when you're trying to make your awkward self look semi-decent for a few photos.. it's somewhat tiring. :P x
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! I write about "fashion" on occasion but don't consider myself a fashion blogger. I did a review for an online store and I have to tell you I felt so awkward doing the photos for it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the sandals and I disagree, I think you're very photogenic! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm glad someone feels my pain - us awkward gal's gotta unite. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. :) x
Your lies are very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm kidding. Thank you, you're very sweet. :3 x
Hilarious post, great outfit and amazing pictures. You don't look awkward at all you look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHaha I love this! You've inspired me to maybe post some bloopers, such a fun idea!
